ART FOR ALL AGES
We have crafts for children through adults, all skill levels.
{{{ COME AND GO AS YOU PLEASE between 1pm and 9pm.
{{{ Choose from a variety of DIY projects for Valentines Day.
{{{ Paper mache’ hearts embellished with pretty details, sizes 2.5″-18″ $8-$24
{{{ Paper heart garland. $10. Punch hearts out of paint chips. Either sew them into a 10′ garland or punch a hole in each heart and hook it onto a piece of red/white cord that the girls made with their rope machine. We have hundreds of colors from which to choose‚ĶIsenhower Lumber Co. replaced their paint chip display and they gave Creek and Cale boxes of the old paint color samples. Proceeds from this project go to the girls.
{{{ Pieced wood quilt heart. $25. Start with a thin wood heart background. Use epoxy to attach tiny wooden diamonds to the backing. We can leave the edges pointy (bc love hurts, eh?) or we can let the epoxy set up (~40 minutes during which time you can do another quick craft) and then trim the edges smooth with the bandsaw and soften them with a sander.
{{{ Make a handmade Valentine. $8. We have tons of paper ephemera, stamps, scrapbook materials, embellishments and decorative scissors for making Valentines. We even have a sewing machine for sewing lace down to the paper!
{{{ Scrap wood heart. $25. Make an 8-12″ heart using different colors/textures of scrap wood. Lay them out, draw your heart in pencil, then I will help you use the bandsaw to cut the pieces of wood. Use epoxy and salvaged hardware to lovingly cobble your heARTwork together. The epoxy sets up in ~40 minutes, so you could do a second smaller project in the interim. The heart garland would be perfect to fill this time!
{{{ Barbed wire hearts. $16-$30. Use salvaged barbed wire to make a pretty 24″ wall hanging or to make a garland of 5″ interlocking hearts.
